Privacy Statement

I will always respect your privacy and will keep your personal details confidential. This statement explains how the personal details are processed.

Details and objectives

  • The performance of work, e.g., counselling.

I use your email address, your address and/or name to send invoices and for my accounts. Your date of birth is also listed on the invoice, so that you can send the invoice to your health insurance.

  • Sending newsletters

If you have indicated you would like to receive newsletters and provided your name and email address, then you will receive a newsletter by email. If you no longer wish to receive the newsletter, simply unsubscribe by clicking the link at the bottom of each newsletter.

Whom do I share your personal details with?

Coach agreements and reports
I keep a record on file of all my sessions. I am the only person who has access to this file. I am subject to a legal obligation of professional secrecy. These details in the client file will be kept for 20 years, as legally required by the Dutch Medical Treatment Contracts Act (Wet op de Geneeskundige Behandelovereenkomst; “WGBO”).
It is possible for this file to be used for the following purposes:

  • To provide information to other care providers, for example when the process has been completed or for a referral to another care professional. This will only be done with the explicit permission of the client.
  • For use by someone who replaces me during my absence.
  • For anonymised use during a peer review.

The systems I file my data in are governed by the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework.

Security Personal Data

I have taken suitable technical measures to secure personal data against loss or other forms of unlawful processing. These measures, including the encryption via an SSL-certificate and a fire-safe cabinet, providing a level of security suitable for the data I process at In Between Counselling.

Cookies

This website uses cookies (including Google Analytics cookies). These serve to improve the user-friendliness of the website and enable me to draw up user statistics. This data is always anonymous.

Social media

I want to make it as easy as possible for you to share the content of this website via social media channels. You can do this by using a number of social media buttons. Please read the privacy statements of the social media channel of your choice, to see read their privacy policy.

Retention period

I will keep your details for no longer than necessary for the purpose for which they were received.
When you unsubscribe from my newsletter, I will remove your personal data from the system within three months. I will keep the records in the administration system for at least seven (7) years, in order to comply with my legal obligations.
The aforementioned period applies, unless there are further legal obligations I need to comply with, as a result of which I need to keep and/or keep available the data for a longer period.

Rights

You always have the right to withdraw your permission for the processing of your data. Should you make such a withdrawal, I will stop processing your data. This withdrawal does not retract the legitimacy of the data processing which took place based on your permission prior to the withdrawal.
You have the right to view your personal data and you have the right to rectify your personal data. If you wish to know which of your personal data I process, you can place a disclosure request in writing. Should your details be incorrect, incomplete or irrelevant, you can send me a written request to change or add to your details.
You also have the right to have your personal data erased, a right to a limited processing of your personal data and a right to object against the processing of your personal data. Moreover, you have the right to transfer your personal data or to make them transferrable. You can also request this in writing.
I will process your request within four weeks. An email is also regarded as a written request. Please send your request to: info@inbetweencounselling.nl.

Changes

I retain the right to change this privacy statement. I will notify any changes made on my website.
